The project took place from October to December of 2013 and analyzed memory places related to the bohemian lifestyle in Laisv\u0117s Al\u0117ja (Laisv\u0117s Ave). The following dimensions were important for the project: collaboration (of students, researchers and experts), development of practical skills of young researchers, application of theoretical knowledge and dissemination of research.<\/p>\n<p>This project is a scientific extension of an artistic memory project carried out in 2011 (organized by VMU Art Gallery \u201c101\u201d, curator Dr. Daiva Citvarien\u0117) in the spaces of Laisv\u0117s Al\u0117ja called \u201cAtminties sparnai\u201d (The Wings of Memory), during which VMU students of new media arts collaborated with professional artists and created art projects about the historic memory of Laisv\u0117s Al\u0117ja.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the project is to encourage scientific engagement of young researchers and set conditions for a creative application of scientific knowledge in practical research.<\/p>\n<p>Projects by young researchers:<\/p>\n<p><em>Memory Archive<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It includes collection and publication of memories, accounts, archival, photographic and other historical material and artifacts in the <a href=\"https:\/\/projectaleja.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blog<\/a> of the project. The young researchers collected stories of city residents (bohemians, historians, etc.) about the artist communities in Kaunas, bohemians and caf\u00e9 culture in the past and today.<\/p>\n<p><em>A Tour around the Bohemian Laisv\u0117s Al\u0117ja<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/issuu.com\/anaci3\/docs\/bohemos-gidas?utm_source=conversion_success&amp;utm_campaign=Transactional&amp;utm_medium=email\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The catalogue<\/a> \/ tour guide features material collected about the most important bohemian memory places in Laisv\u0117s Al\u0117ja. The publication here includes not only a historical survey, but also personal memories and stories collected during the research study.<\/p>\n<p><em>The tour \u201cThe Bohemia of Laisv\u0117s Al\u0117ja\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>A public tour around the bohemian places of Laisv\u0117s Al\u0117ja was organised and based on the data collected for this catalogue.
